Art Camp: Tuesday 4th April, 11am - 1pm

Point, Dome and Future building with Andy Macdermott

Taking a closer look at Milton Keynes iconic architecture, ceramicist Andy Macdermott leads a slab and coil building workshop, creating replicas of The Point and Xscape buildings in homage to the city's cultural landcape. Participants will also design and build a third structure, based on their ideas and designs for a future iconic building in Milton Keynes.

Includes a complimentary vegetarian lunch between 1–1:30pm

Milton Keynes Artefacts with Belle McIntosh

It is Milton Keynes' 50th birthday in 2017, but people have lived here for thousands of years before the Development Corporation transformed fields into city. To celebrate MK50, join Belle in making coil and pinch pots inspired by the Romans, who made the foundations of our city their home long before we did.

Ceramic Maquettes with Andy Macdermott

Inspired by the bold and brilliant post-modernist public sculptures found within Milton Keynes, Art Campers will design and build ceramic maquettes of sculptures they would like to see in the City's public spaces; canal and river sides, parks, shopping centre and roundabouts.
