is an artist's professional development series of guest lectures, workshops and peer-to-peer opportunities the last Saturday of every month at Milton Keynes Arts Centre.

Saturday Sessions launches with Andrew Gillespie, artist and director of Recent Activity, Birmingham, in a workshop and round-table discussing the energies, strategies and procedures necessary in setting up artist-led spaces, projects and new networks. 

Andrew invites workshop participants to watch this interview with James Murphey of LCD Soundsytem on the subject of failure and progression. 

Andrew Gillespie is an artist based in Birmingham, UK, and has recently exhibited solo shows at Outpost (Norwich) and The New Art Gallery, Walsall. Gillespie is director of Recent Activity, a curatorial collaborative project delivering an intermittent program in a variety of locations.
