Saturday Ceramic Intensive
Led by our resident ceramic artist Belle McIntosh, our two day workshops are perfect for those with no prior experience of clay and those who are in need of a refresh. Over the course participants will receive 10hours of pratical training covering a range of techniques building the foundations of a solid understanding of pottery through hand-building, surface design with sgraffito, screen-printing and a one-to-one session on the potters wheel.
Participants will return on the second date to galze their wares and continue the exploration of ceramics.
Each potter will leave the Ceramic Intensive with a collection of unique, handmade items to be taken home and cherished.
To ensure an intensive approach, this course has a maximum of 10 places.

Milton Keynes Arts Centre is pleased to present two sets of Ceramic Intensive short courses this February – March 2018. Sessions are aimed at people who wish to learn the techniques of studio pottery in a studio environment. Suitable for beginners and those with experience of clay. Sessions take place from within the Arts Centre’s specialist ceramic studio, led by experienced ceramicists and offer access to specialist facilities including potters wheels, tools and large kiln.
Participants will learn a variety of techniques in hand building and pot throwing to produce well-made ceramic ware, with view to select up to a maximum of 6 medium sized pieces for glazing and firing.
There is a maximum of 10 places available for each set of classes. Materials and tools are provided.
Each day will include a short break for teas and coffees, provided by Milton Keynes Arts Centre.

Refunds and Cancellations
Bookings are non-refundable and only transferable at the discretion of Milton Keynes Arts Centre. Any workshops that you are unable to attend cannot be refunded and cannot be reallocated.
Courses may be rescheduled/cancelled by Milton Keynes Arts Centre if the minimum number of required students is not met. Notification of a possible reschedule/cancellation will be sent to students three-working days before the first workshop of the term, in this instance only will refunds be issued in full if a course is rescheduled/cancelled
