February – Lantern Making for Lunar New Year
We begin the year with lantern making to celebrate Lunar New Year! We will be at Newton Leys Pavilion for Lunar celebration event with Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Parish Council. Join us to make lanterns to welcome the Year of the Horse. Find out more about the event HERE
May – Introduction to Heritage Straw Craft with Penny Maltby
In May, we are delighted to host a full-day workshop with artist Penny Maltby. As part of Bradwell Windmill Project, this in-person workshop will introduce participants to the basics of straw and corn dolly work so you can gain a good understanding of the materials and master a variety of straw working skills. June – We Live Here Events: Underneath the Surface
We Live Here art and nature events returns in June! This year’s theme is "Underneath the Surface"! We invite you to take a closer look at what interesting creatures lies beneath. More information coming soon, please stay tuned!
Throughout July and August, we will be running a range of creative workshops such as natural dyeing and ceramics.Together, we will be making items that will form part of the tablescape for Hærvest celebration at Bradwell Windmill in September! More information coming soon!
August – Storytelling Event
Did you enjoy The Story of the Little Red Hen? Good news! We are excited to bring you a brand new interactive storytelling event this August. With a new story, new characters, and plenty of opportunities for children and families to play and create!
September – Heritage Open Day: Hærvest at Bradwell Windmill
For Heritage Open Day this year, celebrate the harvest season with us at Bradwell Windmill! Hærvest will take place on Saturday 12 September, we invite everyone to come along for a special gathering! More details coming soon!
Alongside these seasonal highlights, our On the Road Workshops will continue travelling to different neighbourhoods across Milton Keynes, bringing creative activities directly into local communities. We will also be offering half-term workshops and school workshops throughout the year, so please keep an eye on our website and social media channels for updates!
