The Holly and the Oak King Lantern Parade

Join us for a winter solstice celebration at Bradwell Windmill!

Starting at New Bradwell Platform on the railway walk, we will process along the railway walk to Bradwell Windmill, lighting up the redway with our lanterns made with the Bradville and New Bradwell community, artists and local schools.

Date: Saturday 20 December

Schedule:

2.30pm-3.30pm: Pre-parade facepainting at The New Inn

3.30pm: Parade to leave New Bradwell Platform on the railway walk to Bradwell Windmill

4pm: Arrive at the Windmill and storyscape

Refreshments at the mill provided by Coco's Coffee House.

4.30pm: Music at the mill from Bradwell Silver Band

5.30pm: Event end.

Return to The New Inn after the event for Mulled Wine and cider.

Please dress appropriately for the weather.

The parade will be along the redway, however the rest of the event will be held on the grass area outside of the windmill-so wellies or boots recommended.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

We encourage those taking part locally to walk to the event.

For those travelling in by car, there is limited parking on Nightingale Cresent.
