The Barn can be hired out for wedding receptions, family celebrations, team meetings and away days. Our unique location also lends itself to quiet and private occasions such as wakes and life celebrations.

As a registered charity, our income generated through ticket sales, donations as well as venue hire directly supports our work.

Can I hire the Arts Centre for events/parties?
Yes, you can! You can hire The Barn (Milton Keynes Arts Centre) for private parties, family gatherings, weddings and all sort of events.
Can I bring in alcoholic drinks?
Yes, please feel free to bring alcohol onsite. We only ask that you do not sell alcohol. You can apply for a temporary event license if you would like to hire a bar.
What about catering?
We welcome you to organise a caterer or food van to park up onsite, or if you just want to bring in some of your own food that’s OK by us too. Please be aware, to protect our Grade listed thatched Barn and to protect our staff and visitors we cannot permit any use of fire/gas in or around The Barn.
How many people can I invite?
We can fit 60 people seated indoors and up to 80 people standing, including utilising our outdoor garden and decking.
How many rooms do you have?
The Barn consists of an indoor space with an outdoor enclosed garden and an outdoor front decking attached. We also have toilets facilities and a small no-fire kitchen.
What about parking?
We have a free public carpark right in front of us, there is also another free carpark close by, about a 5-minute walk away.
Do you provide furniture?
Yes! Please get in touch for a list of furniture we can provide and associated charges.
Is it wheelchair/pushchair friendly
The Barn has an exterior ramp onto the decking, which leads into the main space and an accessible toilet, accessed through an exterior ramp. Our back garden features wheelchair accessible matting around the central bedding, accessed through the main building and we have a hearing loop facility in the cafe.
When is it available to hire?
The Barn is available to hire from 9.30am–12am, Monday to Sundays. We are closed on Bank Holidays and over the Christmas holidays.
Can I play music/ have a live band or DJ?
You sure can! We have power outlets and free WiFi in the building, you just need to bring your own sound systems/equipment.
What about cleaning?
We do ask that you take your rubbish with you at the end of your event as we unfortunately cannot take on rubbish due to charity regulations. If additional cleaning is required, you will be charged additionally, £25 per hour.
